About the Book

The present book is on human being’s inward journey for the search of the self or the objective of life. From the beginning of the human history, human life is viewed as an odyssey in search of one thing or the other. Even the modern human being, irrespective of many privileges and facilities he/she enjoys in comparison to the primitive one, his/her search in life has not come to an end.

Almost all of Paulo Coelho’s novels deal with an odyssey of a protagonist in search of a particular purpose in life. The book provides an intensive analysis of the terms like ‘Odyssey of Quest’ and ‘Mystery of Life’ along with historical, mythological as well as literary evidences of quests. It is the first of its own kind which studies the novels of Paulo Coelho from this specific perspective. Not only research scholars but any common reader also will find this book as more useful and illustrative.
